In my capacity as Senior Auditor, I lead the successful completion of value-added , information systems audits and performance audits. Results of my audit engagements have resulted in the mitigation of business risks, improved internal controls and enhanced security controls for mission critical processes and systems.

• Request/retrieve and analyze large datasets from various database management systems.
• Utilize data analytics tools such as Python, SQL Server, Audit Command Language(ACL), IDEA and MS excel to test, analyze and verify whether information system internal controls are effective, sufficient and appropriate.
• Create insightful visual representations of data using MS Excel, Powerpoint, Tableau.
• Analyzed data from various sources to identify discrepancies between actual performance versus budgeted goals.
• Create extensive and detailed process flowcharts, swim lanes among other diagrams to document business requirements and/or to analyze gaps in business processes, procedures and system controls.
• Research and propose audit recommendations to senior management which initiated corrective strategies and improved information governance and control weaknesses.
• Perform periodic back up of data and relevant files to minimize loss of data and considerable rework.
• Evaluate policies and procedures specific to the audit objective to ensure that the business functions are in accordance with the departmental policy statements and standard operating procedures.
• Identified potential areas of risk and communicated findings to management in a timely manner.
• Developed audit programs for specific business processes based on professional standards and regulations.

• Lead audit engagements from the audit planning phase through to audit reporting phase.
• Identification of control deficiencies, fraud and abuse through the use of data analytics tools and techniques to analyze large sets of data.
• Formulate audit objectives in alignment to agency's strategic goals and objectives.
• Conduct interviews, focus groups, surveys, site visits, document analysis, business process descriptions, and standard workflow analysis to gather and document a wide variety of information.
• Assessment and documentation of audit findings in terms of the condition, criteria, cause, effect and recommendations.
• Recording meaningful corroborative evidence to support audit findings and evidence gathering.
• Formulated Audit Recommendations that were specific, measurable, agreed upon, reliable and time based.
