Hello.
From my time growing up on a farm through the Army and all the experiences below i have always tried to figure things out. I try to keep the bigger picture in mind and trouble shoot problems before things break down. Sometimes i have the fresh perspective. Most of the time its just getting things done though and i take pride in being part of the team and staying ahead of things and have been around long enough to know how not to step on peoples toes. Most of these things are just about communicating when people are tired and stressed. Be the cool head in the room and take things into consideration. Half the job is the people you work with. Keep it all running smooth and everyone's happier for it.
My last three employers offered me leadership roles so with time and experience down the road maybe i will be the right person for more.
I have a feeling i would be a good fit and would appreciate the opportunity. I am genuinely excited to hear back from you.
Have a great day.
We built large generator enclosures for back up power for server farms like Google and Facebook. I picked it up pretty fast and made a good impression for quality work. I had a minor knee operation last year. They offered me a lead position if i stayed but its rather hard on the body. Its just a younger mans work. It was sad to leave.
Got my foot in the door as a crane opp moving the poured slabs around as needed. My supervisor could see i was bored and started training me in other jobs and made me a floater eventually. I was learning my 7th job in as many months when Broadwind called me back. It was nice to know i could learn and absorb like that again. And really appreciated the freedom my supervisor gave me to do so.
After tech school i worked for a buddy who re-claimed wood from barns and factory's. Very dangerous hard work.
This made Broadwind sound amazing! :p But without the experience of working outside all day year round from this i may have passed up on it
This is the old cold storage warehouse where i got my main warehousing, shipping, receiving experience. The pay here motivated me to go to Tech school next.
Built wooden cabinets for large institutions. Switched to the machine shop where you produce the smaller parts by blue print. Was a good experience and a good job for its time. This layoff hurt.
This was the vinegar bottling plant. Small crew and we rotated all the positions every hour. So as the product changes we changed over all the machines for the new boxes, bottles and labels. This was good experience setting up and changing over all the machines. Also some QA and lab work. It had a bit of everything. The company closed down.
Did basic and my MOS training "13P" in Ft Sill OK.
Ended up at Ft Stewart GA .
This was an early digital computer that could redundantly create a fire mission for the M270 rocket artillery launchers. It was in the back of a personal carrier full of radios. Wild to think back on that kid today but that's the kind of things that change you.
The local moving company and my high school summer gig.
