I've been a Residential Carpenter for 20+ years. I've held asst. foreman and foreman positions i'm not afraid of the responsibility that comes with it. I work well with others, and try to have a enjoyable day at work.
Started as a roofer, after 6 months i was flipping houses for the owner. I ran and managed a small crew. We did everything except Plumbing and Electrical. My main job was to keep our jobs rolling along by keeping materials needed on hand, or prepping materials for future use on project. Making sure the crew is busy and happy. Double checking work performed and answering questions through out the day. Working with sub contractors on timing of jobs so we were ready for them and they were ready for us. Worked a little with the realtors and the stagers upon completion of houses.
I opened up my own home repair business. I did pretty well until the winter was coming and i got worried, then found a regular job.
I started as a residential roofer and carpenter, ended up with my own crew. I would assist the owner on bidding jobs and securing material for projects. As foreman on jobs i would communicate with customers about the projects timeline and any issues that would arise during the project.
I was a carpenter doing custom remodels. Everything from demo, drywall, insulation, flooring, framing, doors, windows, siding, etc.
I worked in exteriors dept. started with siding dormers and fascia boards, ended up learning everything in my dept and became asst. foreman. we took care of everything on the outside.
