My current company at the time was EPIC HealthCare Group bought the County Hospital in Texas City, Texas. It was Mainland Center Hospital. Before the sale 60 managers quit, $2M logging system was installed , and no finance or accounting staff remained after the merger. The purchasing  entity had to file the Terminating Medicare Cost Report of the old Medicare Provider number. There was a lot to do in a short period. It was completed on time and meet federal regulations.
