Current education includes Master Peace Officer certification, Advanced Instructor certification, and Bachelor's degree. I am a military veteran having served active duty with the U. S. Army and the Texas Army National Guard. Current Job Duties include the review and management of applications for the Texas Department of Public Safety, Applicant preparation and testing, maintaining an Applicant Fitness program, Applicant Board preparation, Applicant Mentorship program, Applicant Peer group development, and Academy preparation. Also accountable for creating vigorous recruitment outreach programs, both in and out of state, by creating strong affiliations with colleges and universities, military bases, primary K-12 schools, the media, and the public. Responsibilities also include reviewing recruitment techniques, seeking new ways to enhance recruitment methods, and organizing public relations. Other areas of work involve creating positive departmental relations through meetings with Staff Command and District Sergeant areas, as well as assisting Highway Patrol with patrol functions when requested. While working with the Department I have also served as a Pastor charged with Church leadership and management, financial guidance, program development, and public outreach. Prior to employment with the Texas department of Public Safety, I served in full time Ministry undertaking various leadership roles including, Pastoral ministry, assisting in the establishment and development of a new church, overseeing church organization and ministry outreach programs, administering college student organizations, assisted in managing a large camp ministry and recruitment program, as well as administering Ropes/ Challenge courses specializing in Team Leadership and Individual confidence skills for groups including, Business Management teams, Military Leadership, and School Organizations.
