
My military Career started in Sept 1986 with enlistment in the US Navy. I worked the flight deck as a aircraft handler and refueler. In 1999 i joined the Ohio Army National Guard as a aircraft hydraulics mechanic. In Sept 2001 i became a full time technician for the Ohio National Guard working at AASF#1. I worked on anything that was in our hanger or landed on our ramp. I went to shool to work on Chinooks then in 2006 i deployed to Iraq as a mechanic for a year. I worked at the flight facility and was in the Guard until my ETS in April 2020. During that time i went on multiple deployments and missions to include Hurricane relief and fire fighting. All the time careing and feeding the Aircraft that I had with me. I got out of the Guard in April of 2020 to work as a contractor for Dyncorp/Amentum. I am currently a TI working on the Unit Support Team directly working for and with the 3/82 B Co. During this time i have also performed at a Flight Engineer and all the duties as required.
Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections. Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Evaluates personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience. performing audits and inspections of work centers and on going maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. Examines parts and component for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability, serviceable, unserviceable-reparable, unserviceable-non reparable, affixing completed appropriate form/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and / or turn in. Review maintenance source documents, inspections records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate actions. Reviews engineering investigations requests. Conducts safety inspections and training. Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members. Conducts Daily, preflight and post flight inspections. Perform the duty's of aircraft flight Engineer. Maintaining currency and competency in my assigned aircraft. Performing maintenance test flight duties as a CH-47F flight engineer during MTF flights. Operations of in flight test equipment, track and balance, engine test.
Senior aircraft mechanic Phase inspection crew lead. Possess a current and active secret security clearance. Senior Technical inspector/ Quality assurance at my facility. Experience working on OH-58A+ and Delta, UH-1 Cobra, UH-1 Huey, UH-60l, UH-60L, UH-60M, CH-47D, CH-47F. 16 years as a full time Mechanic. 15 years as a Technical Inspector on CH-47D and F Chinook aircraft. Proficient in MSG-3 maintenance schedule. In charge of the work flow and assignments to aircraft inspection phase crew personnel. 15 year experience as a quality control inspector on all Army rotary wing aircraft. Go to subject matter expert for troubleshooting of recommendations for maintenance mechanics. Army school trained in hydraulics and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair to include hose and line fabrication (15H30) Extensive experience in helicopter rotor head tear down, inspection and rebuilding. Inspection of aircraft parts for short and long term storage. 20 plus years as a full time technician for the Ohio Army National Guard working at AASF #1 Ohio. Our facility in Ohio did not have back shops positions. This necessitates that all of the full time mechanics had to be and learn to be proficient in all aspects of aircraft repair. This included Engines, heads, blades and blade repair. Light to medium structural repair was also required to include avionics and electrical. In short there is not a part of the aircraft that i an not proficient at working on. I am particularly strong at troubleshooting. I also working as a Flight Engineer doing both missions and Test flights. Of corse working as a TI i am very good with log books and records.

Making recommendations of flight standardization personal for changes in standard operation procedures. Reporting to operations control for aircraft availability and status. Filling out reports to keep higher commands informed as to unit property status. Writing of none Commissioned Officer Evaluation Reports. Conducting quarterly counseling of unit personnel. Conducting developmental and career counseling. Senior Trainer and training evaluation for the unit. Conduct Soldier retention and reenlistment interviews. Coordinating of flight operations and mission sets with supporting units tasking. Implementation of control measures to limit or reduce risk. Reevaluate and continually monitor and manage risk controls for on going mission and tasking. Combat Lifesaver trained.
