Scott Koffinke

Work in the carpenter's shop doing general building maintenance around the VA hospital campus, which is composed of 26 buildings. Tasks include, but are not limited to, general building maintenance, drywall installation and repair, painting, and some small cabinet projects.

Provided handyman services part-time (during the school year) and full-time (summers), mainly in Longmeadow, Springfield, and Westfield MA, while employed full-time as a high school history teacher at Westfield High School. This included, but was not limited to, home remodeling, new addition construction, decks, small plumbing and electrical projects, and painting.

• Developed and implemented lesson plans based on curriculum objectives.
• Assessed student performance through tests, quizzes, and other assessments.
• Provided individualized instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Instructed students in academic subjects and history.
• Scheduled and held parent-teacher conferences to keep parents up-to-date on children's academic performance.
• Collaborated with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate various subject areas into a cohesive unit of study.
