Work History

Driller

  • Drilled oil and gas wells using Amphion and Novos systems. Proficient at sliding. Follow well plan to make directional adjustments down hole, build latteral curves and tangents using BGS systems.
  • Ran casing and cement jobs for each string of the well
  • Monitored and maintained rate of penetration (ROP), weight on bit (WOB), torque, standpipe pressure (SPP), rotary (RPM), differentials and other various parameters set forth with auto-digger, as well as, hand drilling via monitors, sounds and vibrations
  • Set out daily tasks for my crew and held daily, pre-job and periodical step-back safety meetings
  • Kept meticulous depth calculations through double and triple checking measurements and pipe counts
  • Built and torqued to spec various bottom hole assemblies (BHA) to exact order and function
  • Trouble-shot malfunctions and performed regular and irregular maintenance on all equipment from pneumatic to Amphion systems, diesel engines, generators, mud pumps and electrical equipment
  • Held refresher courses in confined space entry, H2S (hydrogen sulfide), fall arrest systems, over-head rescue, loader, first aid/CPR and well control for my crew and rig staff
  • Held emergency response drills including fire, man down, BOP (well control), H2S and severe weather
  • Accomplishments: Drilled one of the fastest intermediate wells for Fasken Oil Inc., allowing them to maximize their production
  • Maintained status as a flagship rig, where the VP of the West Texas office would send executives from the home office to come see, by continuously being one of the cleanest and well maintained rigs in the fleet
  • In 5+ years of drilling, there was no single Loss Time Accident, allowing us to continuously maintain contracts
  • Worked my way up from Floor hand to Driller in less than four years
  • Equipped and sent off dozens of Drillers, Derrick hands and Motor hands to various other rigs.
