A&P Mechanic with current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. While at Dyess Air Force Base I performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 33 assigned C-130 Aircraft with an emphasis on primary and secondary hydraulic systems. Additionally, I filled the roll of a C-130 flying crew chief for 6 years. During this period I was responsible for maintaining and accompanying C-130 E/H aircraft with limited maintenance support. I interpreted, troubleshot, and provided technical expertise on all aircraft systems accumulating 500+ combat flying hours with zero maintenance repair team requests.
While at Yokota Air Base Japan, I was responsible for the overhaul actions of hydraulic components to include: landing gear brakes, accumulators, steering actuators, struts, and various components from aerospace ground equipment. Additionally, I led a five person team through the isochronal phase inspections of 8 assigned C-130H aircraft and 12 KC-130J aircraft reducing overall inspection time from 14 to 7 days.
Performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 8 assigned C-17 aircraft. Additionally, I was hand chosen to perform C-17 flight line expeditor duties where I lead 230 personnel from 9 distinct career fields through maintenance and sortie generation operations on all assigned aircraft.
Oversaw maintenance actions and scheduling on 2 assigned E-3B/C aircraft. Led, mentored, and developed 90 personnel from 9 unique career fields through the generation, mobility, and employment planning to support sustained worldwide combat flying operational capabilities.
Interprets and advises on matters pertaining to maintenance policy and procedures for 56 assigned aircraft. Performs assessments on 1.5K personnel, validating processes and ensuring quality maintenance practices. Evaluates data to identify trends through statistical analysis enforcing standards set by senior leadership.
While at Lynden Air Cargo I performed routine and non-routine maintenance on company aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with Lynden Air Cargo's employee handbook, LAC General Maintenance Manual, and applicable CFRs. Additionally, I recorded all work performed on appropriate forms and assumed responsibility of the work by signing the appropriate forms.
