- I started out as a Day Shift Picker, moved to Nights due to scheduling, and made Level 6 within my first year.
- I transferred to Receiving looking for a better fit.
- I have reached a Level 6 standing (now known as Gold Level) in several different departments.
- I started out on Nights, moved to Days, then moved to Weekend Shift, due to doctors’ appointments.
- As a receiver it is our job to ensure the quality of our products, and to make sure that the products we are sent are the products we paid for.
- I try to maintain my level 6 every week, orders permitting.
- I have been given the chance to be a Trainer on multiple occasions, and I try to teach so that not only when they are on their own, they are beyond the Standard of Level 2 (Bronze Level).
- Whenever there is an issue with some items, my fellow receivers often come to me and I try to solve the issues to the best of my ability, and if my knowledge is insufficient, I direct them to a higher authority.
- I have been trained in and try to do my best in Retail Packing, Picking, Stocking, and Web Packing, whenever I am transferred to help with the other departments.
- Utilized correct and safe operating procedures when using equipment such pallet jacks to load, unload and move materials, and informing the proper people if I am unable to move certain pallets.
- Put merchandise in assigned area, added tags/labels, and secured larger pieces as required.
- Promoted inventory accuracy and proper records management by comparing shipment contents with paperwork.
- Organized storage areas to maximize efficiency of materials movements and minimize labor required.
- Rectified problems such as damages and shortages by filling out the proper paperwork and collaborating with the POD (Purchase Order Department).
- Helped reduce loss and maintain facility compliance by upholding requirements for controlling inventory, updating documentation, and tracking movements.
