Primary role of position is to oversee Hazmat Technicians / Safety Technicians ensuring a safe work environment for all employees while also minimizing environmental impact. Related tasks include:

Planning daily / weekly work schedule. Assigning work to team members, instructing them on scope of work, methods of completion and procedures to follow.

Conduct investigations on near miss, vehicle, personnel, equipment accidents.

Interview, hire, indoctrinate, train departmental employees to meet and maintain qualifications.

Recommend changes to scope of work, utilizing different methods and resources to better improve safety factor.

Aid in vessel decommissioning process. Conducting Surveys to include removal of mercury sources, radiological source, PCB, Asbestos, Refrigerant, Hydraulic Oil. Contracting third party environmental company to clean vessels pipe lines, voids and tanks certifying them free of product with marine chemist cert.

Conduct atmospheric testing in permitted / non permitted spaces for safe for work entry.

Maintain all radiological equipment and storage facility.

Oversees sites hazmat collection, holding and disposing

Maintains sites SDS system to show current items maintained in designated storage lockers.

Uphold monthly safety meetings, differ training topics monthly.

Oversight fall protection program and conduct yearly training and certifying for use.

Ensure respiratory program is maintained and individuals are qualified to don proper equipment needed for tasking.

Conducts yearly flood, fire, man over board drills.

Conducts yearly fire watch training and certification.

Schedules all high reach, forklift, first aid / cpr/ AED courses for employees to retain credentials.

Leads safety oversight on all Ship movements within basin and channels exterior.

On water Emergency Response hazmat unit. Responded to hazmat spilled into waterways utilizing specific skimming vessels, hoses and barges for storage of chemical clean up.

Reviewed jobsite requirement's; safety hazards and tasking for proper removal methods of hazardous waste. Completed 27 assigned jobs safely and accurately following job scope.

Clarios Facility Middletown DE: removal of lead throughout warehouse.

Carneys Point Generating plant: Entry into multiple permitted confined spaces; Confined space rescue; removal of fly ash for continuation of daily operations. Cooling tower pressure washing product, removal of product utilizing Vac truck.

Logan Generating Plant: Confined space entry; cooling tower pressure wash down, removal of product with Vac truck.

Moran / McAllister tug vessels: Pressure washed bilges and removal of product utilizing Vac truck of 9 separate vessels for safe operations and marine chemist cert for hot work to be conducted in spaces.

Dominion Energy Sites: Contracted at 8 sites conducting numerous tasking to include 20 permitted confined space entries, excavation using lancing for under ground pipe repairs, cleaning of tanks / voids, sump cleaning, water jetting, 3D blasting of interior spaces.

Advansix Phila, PA: Contracted for daily site services. Permitted space confined Entry cleaning of storage tanks holding products such as cumene and phenol. Lancing of dehumidifiers and other machinery to be put back into proper service.

Buckeye Terminals: Contracted at 5 terminals. Removal of product from holding tanks to include six oil, gas, diesel. Pressure washing interior for clean space, marine chemist cert to conduct hot work in tank, fire watchstanding.

Order picker; built order skew for customers.

Forklift operator, put palletized orders on truck for delivery.

• Loaded, unloaded, and moved material to and from storage and production areas.
• Assisted in receiving, stocking and distribution of merchandise.

Actively involved in ramp duties from arrival to departure of aircrafts to include safety walkdown of tarmac, baggage handling, aircraft servicing, operating GSE equipment around aircraft. Delegated workload to ramp agents assigned to my crew. Conducted ten new hire trainings for safe operations. Enforced all FAA safety guidelines and regulations. Completion of safety critical documentation for flights to include total weight distribution of baggage, freight, hazmat classification items etc. for proper weight and balance for aircraft specifications. Pushback operator for 153 aircraft departures from terminals. 97% accuracy on time departure rating. Guided 189 aircrafts to proper gate assigned and docked with no damage indicated to aircraft or personnel.

Security Force Specialist. Established entry control points for installation access points. Conducted 58 access control inspections of vehicles and personnel as anti-terrorism measurements. Patrolled 12,000 acres of property. Small arms handling for mission tasking. Conducted 26 traffic violations, responded to 7 secure site alarm notifications. Assisted Jacksonville Sheriffs Office off site as needed. One of five land supervisors for base. Proper handling of sensitive or confidential documentation. Units career counselor, assisted seventeen sailors with re-enlisting in service or separation processing.

Expert shipboard navigation. Assigned to Oliver Perry Class Frigate and Aegis Destroyer. Assisted over 60 navigation details, 12 replenishments at sea, 628 hours chart plotting and ship handling transiting twice from North America to South America for fleet operations. Completed 70 move reports, 740 corrections of 85 harbor charts, 175 synoptic messages, conducted 25 navigation briefs. Navigated roughly 7,000 nautical miles for military needs.
