Primary role of position is to oversee Hazmat Technicians / Safety Technicians ensuring a safe work environment for all employees while also minimizing environmental impact. Related tasks include:

Planning daily / weekly work schedule. Assigning work to team members, instructing them on scope of work, methods of completion and procedures to follow.

Conduct investigations on near miss, vehicle, personnel, equipment accidents.

Conduct atmospheric testing in permitted / non permitted spaces for safe for work entry.

Maintain all radiological equipment and storage facility.

Oversees sites hazmat collection, holding and disposing

Maintains sites SDS system to show current items maintained in designated storage lockers.

Uphold monthly safety meetings, differ training topics monthly.

Oversight fall protection program and conduct yearly training and certifying for use.

Ensure respiratory program is maintained and individuals are qualified to don proper equipment needed for tasking.

Conducts yearly flood, fire, man over board drills.

Conducts yearly fire watch training and certification.

Schedules all high reach, forklift, first aid / cpr/ AED courses for employees to retain credentials.

Leads safety oversight on all Ship movements within basin and channels exterior.

Advansix Phila, PA: Contracted for daily site services. Permitted space confined Entry cleaning of storage tanks holding products such as cumene and phenol. Lancing of dehumidifiers and other machinery to be put back into proper service.

Buckeye Terminals: Contracted at 5 terminals. Removal of product from holding tanks to include six oil, gas, diesel. Pressure washing interior for clean space, marine chemist cert to conduct hot work in tank, fire watchstanding.
