With this company I was able to trouble shoot and repair IMPSA 40 Gantry Crane in regards to the electronics and the engine, frame, drivetrain and the PLC system. I am also Lead Safety on the ships regarding the operations involving several different organizations and the US Marine Corps. I assist in correct rigging of equipment to be lifted off or on ship. I performed duties of changing crane attachments needed for a required equipment lift. Other equipment troubleshooting efforts include MOHAWK Vehicle lifts TP26 and the TR 70. I have worked on and maintained all of our assets including boats and boat engines and many different types of small engines ranging from
lawn mowers to diesel powered John Deer Gater vehicles as well as forklifts, generators, hi GH pressure engine controlled pumps, and maintenance of training motorcycles for the base. A large portion of the work day was spent using JLG or other man liftt vehicles which I am certified for by the Marine Corps. I am a certified on Blount Island base to operate all equipment up 30K forklifts and telescoping forklifts, Bobcats of different sizes, steamrollers, large Caterpillar front loaders. I was assigned a work truck (Dodge 550) filled with a wide range of hand tools and specialty tools. I was responsible for maintaining a Morbark 3800 grinder machine which includes electrical and mechanical trouble shooting as well as operating it for long periods of time with zero incidents. I was also directly in charge of The Manatee Watch program for the Blount Island slipway as well as animal control basewide. The Marine Corps base has given me many courses and hands on training regarding hazmat emergency procedures and programs including emergency clean up procedures of hazardous material waste. Included with hazmat training, I was he animal control representative for the Marine Corps Base. When a part is needed for equipment, it was required for me to research what is needed to repair or replace the equipment. When an outside contractor was required, I was tasked with monitoring the adherence to the contract and compliance. I was also responsible for shipping container inspection after refurbishing and when brought to the Blount Island as a new unit. I was also responsible for shipping container repair, including corrosion control, paint quality and resealing the doors.
