Sean O'Hehir

I am a fourth year student at SUNY New Paltz graduating in May of 2024 with a Bachelors of Science in Geology. I am looking for opportunities to take part in research studies to gain the appropriate skills and experience needed to pursue graduate school. In my time in university, I have served both as a volunteer and Team Leader for the Beyond Plastics team of the Sustainability Ambassador program. With that, my team and I have worked with faculty and staff to reduce single use plastic waste and install Filtrol microfiber filters on laundry machines across campus. I also held a seat on the Student Senate for two years: one distinct project was working with the library to make online educational resources more available to the student body. I have also held positions on the executive board of the Biology Club at New Paltz, conducting student engagement events and maintaining the club fish tank as the Zoologist.
