Painting

Experience with interior painting on Kingdom hall projects and very limited exterior experience on disaster relief

Drywall

Repairing crack and holes where ceiling fans hung in drywall on the inside roof

• Scraping acoustic off roof
• Spreading mud onto roof
• Used drywall tape to cover where crack was
• Used metal drywall patch to fill hole where ceiling fans hung in roof

VCT Type Tile Flooring

• Mopping: cleaning any spills, spots, or residue on floor with neutral cleaner designed to neutralize any acidic or basic agents that may damage tile
• Buffing: polishing wax on floor
• Scrubbing: scrubbing tile on floor, cleaning any spots, spills, or residue
• Stripping Wax: completely removing old wax off of floor, cleaning any spots, spills, and residue on floor
• Laying Wax: laying new coats of wax onto floor to prolong life of tile and make it look more attractive

Carpet

• Vacuuming any dirt or other debris found on carpet
• Spraying cleaning chemicals onto carpet to help extract dirt, drinks, chemicals, and other things spilled that could damage or make carpet unattractive
• Wand Extractor: using wand that sprays water and allows extraction of dirt, spills, or chemicals in carpet
• Bonnet: using bonnet that agitates dirt in carpet, allowing it to be extracted

Concrete Flooring

• Sweeping floor of any dirt or other debris
• Scrubbing concrete floors of any dirt, spills, or residue found, prolonging life of floor and making it more attractive
• Sealing concrete by mopping sealer onto it, prolonging life of floor

Post-Construction Cleanup

• Completely disinfecting all surfaces of new hospital wing, including walls, railings, equipment, furniture, and lights

Terminal Cleaning

• Completely disinfecting general patient rooms and operating rooms in hospital

General Cleaning of Siplast, a Commercial Roofing Plant

• Collecting trash of bathrooms, breakrooms, labs, and offices
• Wiping surfaces, including counters, tables, desks, and toilets in bathrooms, breakrooms, labs, and offices
• Sweeping of and dirt or debris, including limestone dust, asphalt granules, etc.
• Mopping VCT, LVT, and concrete flooring of spills and tar
• Dusting of any dust or cobwebs found

Asphalt Shingles

• Tearing off asphalt shingles
• Cleaning roof of any nails, staples, and old tar/felt paper to prepare for new roofing material
• Replacing damaged plywood
• Laying new felt as underlayer for shingles using pop-cap nails and pneumatic staple guns
• Laying shingles with pneumatic nail guns, including 3 tabs on edge of roof, in valleys, and in field
• Installing ridge cap

Metal Roofing

Galvanized Tin Sheet Metal Roofing: disaster relief in Puerto Rico

• Tearing off old sheet metal panels
• Installing new sheet metal panels using metal self tapping screws.

Standing Seam: installing standing seam type metal roofing on Kingdom Halls.

• Cleaning roof of any nails, staples, and old tar/felt paper to prepare for new roofing material
• Laying new felt using pneumatic staple guns
• Laying felt with adhesive back
• Installing sheet panels in field
• Installing sheet panels in valley
• Cutting and installing Z-Bar for ridge cap
• Installing ridge caps

Scaffolding

Erecting Scaffolding

• Erecting scaffolding around Kingdom Halls and homes
• Assembling using OSHA approved wooden boards for walking planks
• Assembled using metal walking planks
• Experienced erecting on multi-leveled scaffolding projects
• Led crew (under overseer's direction) on Kingdom Hall project

Teardown

• Dismantling scaffolding around Kingdom Halls and homes
• Experience dismantling on multi-leveled scaffolding projects

Demolition

Concrete: On a Kingdom Hall project, working on a parking lot

• Using sledge hammer to break concrete pieces into smaller ones
• Shoveled, leveled ground to prepare for pouring of concrete
• Helped set wood to prepare for concrete pour

Maintenance

Parking Lot Maintenance, caulking joints and cracks to prolong life of parking lot

• Crack chasing: grinding cracks in concrete to widen them in preparation of caulking them
• Cleaning cracks and joints of any dirt, debris, or plants
• Laying backer rod in joints and cracks in preparation of caulk
• Shooting caulk into joints
• Tooling caulk to make sure it bonded to each side of crack or joint to protect from water
