Founder & Designer: Established and managed NeithRa Jewelry, overseeing all aspects of business operations, including product design, production, and sales.
I completed an executive leadership program through a dual partnership between Merrick Business School and the College of Public Affairs. The program was designed for nonprofit professionals to enhance their leadership abilities, develop and lead nonprofits, create social enterprises, and implement effective fundraising strategies. My studies covered key areas such as nonprofit law, strategic planning, grant writing, and public-private partnerships.
During my graduate internship at the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, I authored a report on the efficacy of public/private partnerships across local, state, and federal levels. My research focused on the management and structure of workforce programs established by Maryland and funded through the Workforce Investment Act.
For my Graduate Capstone Project, I led the Northeast Housing Initiative Project, a Baltimore City-based effort to amend the city charter, facilitating the construction of permanent, sustainable communities. My work included developing a strategic vision and implementation recommendations, contributing to the successful passage of the measure in 2017.
I managed a multidisciplinary curriculum that emphasized Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Community and Civic Engagement, and Corporate Communication. My responsibilities included the design, planning, and execution of marketing strategies, along with fostering skills in corporate communication. My civic engagement work was particularly focused on Poverty Studies and collaborating with local nonprofit organizations addressing these issues. The curriculum was designed to equip participants with the tools necessary to engage in their communities effectively and to understand the complexities of poverty. For my capstone project, I centered my research on the work of Paul Spicker, exploring the dimensions and structures of poverty in society, which provided a theoretical foundation for the program's approach to community impact.
