• Supervised a roster of nineteen kindergartners during summer months, facilitating smooth transitions between classroom settings and overseeing various activities including reading, STEM topics, outdoor sports, and dance class, and lunch schedule.

In August 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19, I was automatically promoted from a yard duty position to an instructional aide role with students instructed to stay home, my previous responsibilities became redundant

• As an instructional aide, I supported teachers by executing various administrative tasks, including making copies, cutting, sorting, folding, counting, and labeling
• I efficiently operated advanced copy machines, often handling over 200 pages, which constituted a significant portion of my workload, especially on Fridays
• On Mondays, I facilitated the distribution of educational materials to elementary school parents/students.
• I was involved in organizing and preparing homework and project materials with my team, ensuring each student's needs were met
• My duties included waiting for parents to arrive, coordinating with the relevant teachers, and delivering the appropriate materials to the guardians
• I consistently ensured that tasks were completed accurately and efficiently to support the educational process

• Responsibilities included:
• Monitoring children in the Cafeteria, outdoor lunch tables, playground, before and after school, etc
• Supervise children while eating their lunches as well as assisting them with minor matters (i.e peeling oranges, opening milk cartons, opening chip bags, etc)
• Lunch dismissal to playground area
• Pursues and detains children misbehaving on the playground and during lunch
• Check playground equipment for dangerous and unsafe conditions
• Administers first aid
• Before school and after school Crossguarding

• Serve attractive and nutritious meals to students according to district, and federal food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Prepare food items such as fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, salads and main dishes by combining proper ingredients, cutting and slicing fresh foods, counting food items, heating foods and related activities
• Set up serving equipment, trays and plates, serving areas with prepared foods; place food in hot containers; monitor food temperatures and make corrective adjustments, as necessary
• Serve as a cashier by operating point-of-sale (POS) software to calculate who and how many free lunches served
• Participate in stocking, re-stocking and storage of daily school food in walk-in freezers and refrigerators
• Pulls daily stock needed and re-stock for the following day
• Stock and restock serving lines; condiments, napkins and silverware trays as needed; check expiration dates on food items
• Perform post-lunch cleaning and next-day preparation such as checking for and removing fallen food or trash on the ground, disposing of left-over food, preparing sinks and proper cleaners and sanitizers, and washing trays, pots, pans and utensils, and restocking after cleaning
• Clean and sanitize all workstations and all equipment; maintain storeroom area in clean and safe condition
