Worked alongside Pemex I/E specialist to troubleshoot multiple Guided Wave Level transmitters on different units to get accurate and matching readings as those showing on their associated LI's and sight glasses. Coordinated with Pemex operations for the opening/ closing of lines to perform "float" test on some LT's to ensure all associated equipment matched on all levels and are functioning as they should be. Worked alongside other contractor I/E specialist and performed audits on both equipment on and off the turnaround as requested per Pemex. Performed SIS equipment audits and function test to do final SIS checkout with Pemex I/E and contractor inspector. Some of these equipment include heaters, compressors, exchangers, and of course any equipment associated with it. Performed various field function test, troubleshooting and calibrations for valves, gas detectors, transmitters, and fireye flame scanners including having to perform these activities using supplied air when performing work on systems identified as an IDLH. Helped out supervision and safety to get accurate head counts for ISC personnel during an acid gas release at the facility, and ensured the group under me had communication other ISC personnel at the site and ensured everyone was present or accounted for.
Receive various field instruments and valves to I/E maintenance shop for us I/E Technicians to perform table calibrations and stroke tests before going out to the field for installation. Performed troubleshooting, calibrations, function tests on various PV's,HV's, TV's, FV's and all of these of various makes and models. Performed troubleshooting, field calibrations, and function test on various field instruments for both new install and previously existing instruments. Filled out field inspection/ function test sheets for both regular process and SIS equipment. Worked along side Lyondell I/E to troubleshoot any field side and DCS discrepancies. Worked with other contractors on witnessing the correct installation of capillary/diaphragm transmitters and verified correct materials, torque, position, etc. was maintained as per spec. sheet or Lyondell I/E instruction.
Troubleshooting of various field instruments like PT's, LT's' TE's, FT's, VT's, Gas/ smoke detection systems, among others of various manufacturers. Other systems I have worked on to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance are UPS systems, PCV's, MOV's, FV's, VFD's, pump motors, as well as others of various manufacturers. Perform weekly P.M. visual inspections on various PDC's and UPS systems. I have performed quarterly, bi-annual, and annual checkouts/ function tests of various systems including ESD devices for underground wells and Oneok pipeline. Re-calibrate various field instruments and switches for proper set/ trip points. Work along third party contractors to replace parts and update multiple PCV's and MOV's for Oneok pipeline and storage operations. Perform rack in and rack out of various breakers for Oneok non I/E personnel and verifying proper lockout tagout procedures are maintained until job completion. Working with Oneok DCS team to troubleshoot PLC and programming issues at various Oneok locations including pipeline and storage operations. Perform infrared scans of various PLC and PDC electrical systems for preventive/ predictive maintenance. Hooking up of various temporary power in multiple job locations as an emergency response for any power losses from Hurricane Beryl to critical operation systems by both generator power or running new power wire from an existing power source like other PDC's. Come in for call outs with other Oneok personnel and troubleshoot any I/E related issues. Aided in the weekly work order, close out documents and any break-in or non planned work performed for the work week and submit it to the maintenance planners once all documents are filled out accordingly. Worked alongside Oneok and other contractors on various tasks throughout the Mont Belvieu Oneok facility ensuring a safe work environment was maintained without sacrificing quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Perform pre-loop inspection/ function checks on various field instrument and systems such as Rosemount PT's, LT's, TT's, FT's, Fisher LV's, CV's, FV's, Honeywell LT's, PT's, Fireye flame scanners, etc.. All systems were inspected for proper tagging and matching to spec sheet information. Once instruments were function checked by five point check to ensure both field side and DCS side were showing same result, a final acceptance loop check was performed with Pemex I/E inspectors as witness before all sign-off sheets were filled out and given back to Pemex for acceptance. Some trouble shooting was performed for field instruments and valves when there was loss of power, improper fail state, incorrect upper/lower range values, polarity issues, loss of pneumatic air pressure, DCS programming/ addressing issues, etc. just to name a few. Performed SIS inspections and interlock checks with Pemex I/E and R.T.F. third party contractors to ensure all cause and effect steps ended with desired results. Floated several GWR LT's to ensure proper level in field matches what the DCS has with some of the LT's having to change the calibrated range to ensure LT has a true zero when fully vented to atmosphere and keeping the desired span specified in the spec sheet. Ensuring all work was performed in a professional and safe manner without cutting corners, and still keeping the quality of work to a high standard.
Walkdown of various I/E folders pre-turnaround to locate all instruments and other systems to be worked on or replaced completely. Work along side Ascend I/E and Operations personel for system lockout and isolations prior to begining work on any systems or instruments. Disconnecting of various motors , fuses inside MCC's, PT's, Temperature switches, Flow switches, Level switches, Micro Motion sensors/ FT's, as well as other type of field instruments and systems. Some of these field instruments were replaced completely for new ones and others we brought back to the shop for prevantive maintenance and testing wether it be pressure, temperature, or simulation testing as well as other forms of testing in the Ascend I/E shop. Once all testing is complete with all mechanical and electrical components returned to its intended state out in the field, we conducted field validation tests along side with Ascend pesonel using all tested verified equipment to ensure accurate and consistent results for any field instruments and systems which were worked on for the project TA. We maintained good communication with all Ascend personel as well as all ISC supervision to ensure the daily workday was maintained with the expected safety, quality, professionalism, and that the day to day goals were all met effciently without shortcuts.
Walkdown of various I/E systems for troubleshooting, pre-looping, and selling of systems to the third party buyers with Rev1 Energy. Once the I/E system was sold to the third party buyer we logged in all perdinent data to the S&B companies Instrument Calibration forms and input any other necessary information associated with the system into its individual folder and gave it to our Lead Technician where he then ran it up the chain of command for the next step in the process for the client to accept and buy previously tested and witnessed systems. The systems vary from Rosemount TT's, LT's, FT's, PT's and other Rosemount devices/ instruments. I worked on various brands of valves such as Fisher, Flowserve, and Jamesbury to name a few. I worked on troubleshooting and selling various types of instruments of the Schneider Electric brand that were on eight of the projects Electrolyzer's skids. I worked on the VFD's of three of the facilities compressors Hyundai Electric motors where I had to troubleshoot some wiring and addressing issues along side ABB Group personel. Other brand name of systems and instruments I pre-looped and sold to the third party buyers include Endress+Hauser, Vega, Flo-Tite, Air-Con, Drager, Rotork, Alicat, and Pepperl+Fuchs.
Assign daily tasks to crew of Leadmen,Journeymen, and apprentices varying throughout the project from 8 to 20 personnel and ensure proper information, coaching, and direction is given not only at the beginning of the workshift, but throught the workday.
