My name is Seth Allen, I am a second-generation inspiring Firefighter/EMT. I have been working in our family's construction business with my dad and brother since I was 8 years old. I have learned so much from both of them, like practical skills and work ethic. The most important thing I have learned however is that every second of every day is an opportunity to show the world what kind of person you are and make a positive impact in someone's life regardless of what you are doing. I have always loved playing soccer, but through coaching have found something more important than just winning games. You are also put in a position to teach kids the importance of teamwork, character, and having fun. I recognize that I am young and have so many things left to learn. My dad has always told me to work like you are trying to please God and not men (COL 3:23). I have always dreamed of being a firefighter. I want to help people on their worst days and make it a little better. That's just one of the many reasons I have chosen to pursue this career. After my sophomore year of high school, I thought about and prayed about what I needed to do with my life. It's crazy how everything worked out. God has given me an undeniable path, leading me to leave high school early, obtain my GED faster than anyone expected, and most recently be able to attend EMT school in my hometown, which I was able to finish just as I was turning 18 years old. There were challenges along the way but anything worth having is worth working hard to obtain. I currently hold the license of National Registry EMT-B. I have attempted the Advanced test but was unsuccessful on my second attempt with a score of 897. I plan to reschedule as soon as possible.
