Seth Colunga

I am a second-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) student, having entered pharmacy school in Fall 2024 after beginning my pharmacy experience as a technician trainee in 2023. With nearly three years of experience in the retail pharmacy setting at CVS, I have developed a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, insurance adjudication, third-party billing, workflow management, and state and federal regulations. Under the supervision of my preceptor’s license, I have gained hands-on experience evaluating medication profiles, identifying potential drug-drug interactions, and supporting patient education and safety. My work in community pharmacy has strengthened my clinical foundation, communication skills, and professionalism, and I am now committed to advancing my pharmacy training beyond the retail environment toward broader clinical, research, and pharmaceutical development opportunities.
