Work History

Autonomous Vehicles

UCSD MAE Department
01.2024 - 03.2024

Built and Ran 1/10 scale Autonomous Vehicle

  • Constructed computer hub and mounts for different sensors using CAD and 3D printing
  • Installed and configured ROS2 (Python) on Jetson Nano SBC to access and process data from properly calibrated sensors (camera, IMU and GPS) and generate appropriate commands for motors, actuators and servos
  • Conducted 20+ laps of RC driving for deep learning, used UCSD GPU cluster for big data processing / computations to train neural network; Navigated autonomous vehicle using GPS / GNSS
  • Successfully completed more than required autonomous line and lane following laps and autonomous drift demo.
  • Proved successful working within tight deadlines and fast-paced environment.
  • Participated in interdisciplinary team, demonstrating ability to work collaboratively and effectively.

Satellite Trajectory Mapping

UCSD MAE Department
09.2022 - 12.2022
  • Utilized Matlab to calculate satellite trajectories prescribed by differential equations, optimizing computational efficiency (accuracy vs run time) by Euler approximations.
  • Produced high-quality satellite trajectories plot using Matlab post processor, enhancing visualization effect.
  • Evaluated large data of 400 satellites for 3D trajectory mapping, and presented analysis report contributing to design recommendation for satellite safety protocols

RC Robot

UCSD MAE Department
04.2022 - 06.2022

Built RC robot to deliver loads (125 gm) in minimum time

  • Prototyped robot drive base for efficiency; CAD / laser cut / 3D printed / machined robot arm, claw and gears
  • Iterated motor parameter measurements (torque, power, rpm) to calculate and implement optimal gear ratio
  • Managed project using Pugh chart and Gantt chart to ensure work progress and completion.
  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity and resourcefulness through development of innovative solutions.
