Undergraduate Research Study at NASA (JPL)
- Created code using Python to analyze FITS files (sent from JPL) and edit by file size, picture size, or any other means needed.
- I worked in a small group which allowed me to learn the valuable lessons of teamwork and the ability to communicate through code and work. Working in a team also allowed us all to enhance our abilities in our respective areas of expertise.
- Deadlines were tight, so time management was an essential skill that I learned in this Undergraduate Research Study.
- I improved the quality of data through my code.
- Presented to a group at NASA (JPL) that consisted of Astrophysicists, NASA employees, and the STEM Dean of LAMC, Dr. Morales.
- Presented and obtained up-to-date knowledge of the research we had at hand, fact-checked by the employees at NASA.
