Nursing Leadership Philosophy
I believe that being a leader requires being present physically in the department as a positive role model. This occurs through taking an active part in caring for the patients as well as delegating appropriate tasks to staff members who desire to be positive role models for their colleagues. As a supervisor I use the scientific skills, organization tools, and the leadership actions I have learned to facilitate the ultimate goal of patient centered care that all patients deserve.
