Work History

Ph.D Candidate

University of Wyoming
09.2019 - Current

  • Research Areas: Molecular Biology, Neural stem cell research , cell-cell signaling, cell division
  • Research overview: Identification of specific cell type/(s) in brain that are important for the development of Microcephaly by Abnormal spindle (Asp), Determination of the role of Asp as a regulator of Notch signaling. We are addressing these questions using various genetic tools available in the Drosophila community, high resolution confocal microscopy, micro computed tomography as well as high resolution domain specific yeast two-hybrid and protein biochemistry assays.

Masters Student

St. Xavier's College
05.2017 - 07.2019
  • Research Area : Microbiology, Plant-microbe interactions
  • Research Overview: Formulation of novel biopesticides using compatible microorganism and an accurate CFU count. In this investigation, a unique biopesticide has been designed by using compatible microorganisms based on their parasitic, predatory and biochemical relationships

Summer Intern

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)
04.2019 - 06.2019
  • Research area: Molecular biology
  • Research Overview: Examining the roles of two transporter genes namely, L. donovanimiltefosine transporter (LdMT) and its specific beta subunit LdRos3 in incurring
resistance against miltefosine using CRISPR Cas9 system.
