• Project Setup and Authentication: Initialized a Django web application ScoreAi Application with JWT authentication for user security.
• Model Creation and CRUD Functionality: Created Django models for students, questions, answers, and scores. Implemented CRUD functionalities via Django viewsets to manage data in the MySQL database.
• DistilBERT Integration for Score Generation: Employed DistilBERT in the application's utilities (utils.py) to generate scores for questions and answers, enhancing evaluation. After experimenting with different BERT models from Hugging Face and custom models with Word2Vec & LSA, we concluded that DistilBERT offers the best balance of performance and efficiency.
• Testing with Postman: Utilized Postman for testing the viewsets, ensuring functionality and data integrity.
• React Front-end Integration: Integrated React front-end with the Django REST API, facilitating seamless client-server communication.
