• Provide comprehensive intraoperative care of the surgical patient undergoing a wide range of surgeries, ranging from genitourinary, gastrointestinal, plastic, neurological and orthopedic surgeries.
• Assist in the preparation of the surgical field including tactfully opening sterile supplies, setting up equipment, positioning and sterilizing the surgical site.
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical technicians, anesthesia, vendors and other members of the surgical staff to ensure a safe, efficient surgery for best patient outcome.
• Specialize in neurosurgery with procedures ranging from transforaminal lumbar interbody fusions, anterior & posterior cervical discectomy, craniotomy for meningiomas, craniotomy for microvascular decompression of the trigeminal nerve, deep brain stimulations and so on.
• Managing delicate neuro-specific equipment such as balancing microscopes and aiding surgeons with navigational systems specifically Brainlab and Medtronic systems.
• Deeply committed to mentoring and training new nurses in the intricacies of neurologic surgeries.
• Adhering to sterile standards and infection control policies.
