Throughout my 40 years of experience I have always taken pride in my job. I was and am willing to try new things. I have many years of customer service experience, always putting emphasis on satisfying the customers. I love instructing new employees, watching them succeed. I am very punctual, a rule follower and strive to do my very best.
In 25 years at USPS, I have been responsible for many things other than carrying and delivering mail and packages. I had opportunity to cross crafts and learn duties of early morning clerks which required solely opening up the office, working mail for distribution, boxing mail and morning scans all before clerks and carriers reported to work. I am a New Employee Orientation Facilitator, New City Carrier Cadet Facilitator, On-The-Job Instructor and Driver Safety Instructor for 10 years instructing over 300 new employees. I worked as an Administrative Assistant in Learning and Development Department 3 years. My job description included secretarial duties for Carleen Sims, Director. I developed spread sheets used in scheduling orientation, shadow day, driver training academy and OJT for all new employees. I worked with Postmaster and Supervisors troubleshooting scheduling issues.
At Reeves Insurance I was office manager and secretary for two insurance agents. My responsibilities included customer service, issuing new auto, home and crop insurance policies, renewing existing policies, filing claims, all bookkeeping reports and cleaning of agency.
I started out as a drive-in teller and was promoted to Customer Service Supervisor over 10 women in customer service department before being promoted to Loan Secretary in our Branch office. Duties included assisting in customers with withdrawals, deposits, supervising women as they assisted customers, loan processing for all installment, personal and commercial loans.
