Determined and empathetic Psychology undergraduate passionate about becoming a mental health counselor to provide mental health services to my community regardless of their socioeconomic background, age, or cultural differences. I am seeking admittance into the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program at the University of Oklahoma to earn a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion and determination to study within the mental health field comes from the insight I have been privileged to gain in my previous careers as a care giver to elderly dementia patients, birth doula, volunteer coordinator, and General Manager. From my experience in my previous careers as well as my strong educational background in Psychology, I have gained skills of leadership, empathy, active listening, quick thinking. I am hard working, responsible, passionate, and possess good communication skills, and I truly want to help people and expand my career into Counseling.
