Initial contact for all Health and Safety issues outside of normal business hours. Subject Matter Expert in Industrial Emergency Response and have knowledge in Active Fire Protection systems and Process Safety.
• Investigating practical and theoretical issues facing emergency services and identifying effective resolutions.
• Maintaining current understanding of local, state and federal guidelines for emergency response.

• Provide immediate response to different types of emergencies at the site, to include fires, gas releases, spills to land and water, rescue and medical calls, etc.
• Function as Subject Matter Expert for Emergency Orders, Work Procedures, Safety Orders and Standard Operating Procedures, which include reviewing procedures, providing interpretations, and developing and delivering Emergency Response training
• Maintain emergency response facilities and all emergency response equipment (Mobile and Fixed) to ensure equipment is available and ready to respond to emergencies
• The focus of this position is to effectively and efficiently execute all aspects of emergency response.
• Served as HSE Field Department fixed fire water system owner, including coordinating and communicating fire water isolations and preparing Permit to Work for repairs.
• Provide Health and Safety Field Services to stakeholders including industrial hygiene monitoring, turnaround support, Health and Safety compliance audits, Health and Safety consulting services, Initial Emergency Response training for all site personnel, Fire Safety Assessments of Active, Passive fire protection and Site Emergency Response Equipment, etc.
• Conduct Annual inspections on Fire Extinguishers and other regular maintenance as required

• Responded to emergency medical calls to perform lifesaving procedures and other emergency medical services.
• Maintained strong knowledge of firefighting principles and suppression methods, which enabled proper decision-making in emergency situations.
• Evaluated situation at emergency sites to determine and execute most effective methods for saving life and property.
• Educated public and community members on fire safety and prevention methods to provide life-saving techniques.
• Drove and operated structural pumpers, tankers, ladders and service vehicles to aid in rescue operations.
