Operated various positions, including tail sawyer's station, sorting, trimming, directing lumber, and grading, sorting, and stacking on green chain. Operated a case 580 with forks, a moffett rough terrain forklift, and a mid-size excavator for tasks at the mill and logging jobs. Executed logging operations for internal mill needs and external client fulfillment. Performed logging tasks including setting chokers for line skidder, limbing, bucking logs to length, and sorting and stacking logs with excavator.

• Just before my daughter was born I temporarily moved back down to Oregon and worked at a cedar mill. Started on green chain. Grading, pulling and stacking lumber, communicating with forklift operators. Quickly promoted to work upstairs operating various saws/work stations. Feeding, sorting, directing lumber & training new employees. Worked a variety of assorted trim saws and finishing/packaging stations around mill on non production days. Performed/assisted various maintenance and repair on equipment Etc.

• Started on the green chain, after about a week got moved up into the mill and assisted/operated an array of different stations. (Deep pile transfer station, Ganglanding, Unscrambler, Trimmer, Little horizontal saw “resaw”, Chipper Etc. After my “probationary period/job review” I was given the opportunity to partake in a Millwright apprenticeship in which I began assisting millwrights in repair maintenance and replacement of sawmill/equipment. During spring breakup or other slower times in the production end I would assist in the finish end of the mill in the planer building and separate planer facility in Arden. Feeding the planer, pulling dry chain, packaging Etc.

• I started the business in July 2018 and ran it up until the move back home to washington in December 2019. I had one employee other than myself. My responsibilities included but not limited to, were starting and setting up local and federal licensing, bond and insurance. Logging and turning in hours for payroll to my accountant. Advertising. Making and receiving calls on potential current or finished jobs/work. Operating, transporting and maintaining my work equipment (Tractor and implements, dumptruck, and trailer, walk behind/power equipment Etc.) Deposits banking and some filing. Some of the main work I offered through my company was field mowing/rototilling, installing/repairing culverts and driveways, leveling land for new construction, postholes/fencing, fire mitigation, brush/briar/large debris removal, property/real estate cleanup Etc.

• Executed daily responsibilities including opening, operating, performing shift change and closing station. Facilitated retail sales of petroleum products while assisting customers. Scheduling shifts for station employees to ensure adequate coverage. Conducted daily accounting, logging of sales and making daily deposits. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Assisting in maintenance and repair of petroleum fuel dispensing equipment. Led monthly safety meetings with all employees. Setting up and displaying seasonal promotional advertising, Regularly filling in for other employees and or providing a mid-shift during busy hours, accepting/reviewing applications for potential employees and providing training, Performing computer/system updates and price changes, Etc.
