Summary

Highly skilled and diversified Swine Production Director who has numerous years of experience in every phase, and at every level of production. This would include: genetics, gilt and boar selection, multiplication, boar studs/semen collection, GDU's, sow farms, and grow/finish. I have also been in direct supervision of many other departments such as: maintenance, environmental, data services, health/safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, milling/feed, trucking, and business development/client relations. Lastly, I have worked extensively and collaboratively with all other departments: HR/employee relations, R&D, finance, nutrition, vet/health services, marketing, etc.

While I am comfortable in all areas of swine production, I'd say that sow units/reproduction is where I am most comfortable and where I shine the brightest. I believe that is due to me spending a good portion of my career in sow units and where I really grew as a person and leader.

I believe that my work experience and positions held speak for themselves, but I think it is worth noting that my most valuable asset (and the one I am most proud of), is my people skills. I have the ability and I recognize the importance of connecting with people as they are our most valuable asset. I try to gain their trust, to be honest with them, to hold them accountable, to lead by example, ask them questions, let them know they are appreciated and important, and to gain their respect. Once trust and respect are established, it makes the rest of a leadership position much easier. I truly believe that I can learn from each and every employee at a farm.
