  • Safeguards and transports highly classified, time-sensitive Department of Defense (DOD) material worldwide to over three thousand accounts. Provides adequate protection for material from receipt through delivery or to storage and cautions handlers to exercise care in storing material. Verifies each item by identification number when receipting for or delivering material. Complies with Air Force, DOD and Inter-agency requirements for material handling, storage and accountability; maintains constant surveillance over material. Assures positive identification of Armed Forces couriers when picked up. Makes positive identification of Armed Forces couriers, addressed, and Top-Secret control officers before releasing material.   • Records information, such as items received and delivered and recipients' responses. Checks with home station after completed deliveries, in order to confirm deliveries and to receive instructions for other deliveries. Unloads courier items from large trucks and loads them onto smaller delivery vehicles at destination.
