As an academic innovator, I have had the joy of successfully collaborating alongside students, adjuncts, faculty, administrators, student services, and community stakeholders via strategic planning, service learning, technology, sustainability, global education, and committees across 7 campuses and in Dallas College. My goal is to create learning solutions that increase productivity to serve, retain, and support student success and equip students professionally and connect them to employment. I have led and implemented multiple online programs, support systems, accessibility, technology, and training. My colleagues would share my strengths as positive working relationships, communication, work ethic, problem solver, enthusiastic, empower others, as well as an immense desire to learn with variety while embracing creativity.

This role reports to the Vice Provost of E-learning as part of the E-learning Executive Leadership Team. As Dean of E-learning, this role's leadership spans across 60k students, 3k faculty, and 7 'Schools Of' at Dallas College. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Plans, organizes, designs, and coordinates assessment and effectiveness activity focused on the quality of the online student experience. e.
  • Analyzes and interprets data to inform student-centric decision making which is then shared across academics, student affairs, workforce,and operations.
  • Coordinates LMS strategy with Dallas College’s Information Technology area. Coordinate strategy related to the Learning Management System with Information Technology.
  • Leads learning enhancement work through exploration of innovative tools and apps.
  • Responsible for the implementation and review of quality standards in relation to online instruction and services.
  • Oversees team supporting E-Learning tools and infrastructure across all campuses.
  • Provide leadership for data-informed decision making and continuous improvement related to the online student experience.
  • Instigate and manage research efforts into the student experience, translating findings into recommendations and actions for leaders across Dallas College.
  • Anticipate research needs, questions, and possible solutions through review of research studies and best practices.
  • Responsible for staying immersed in the state-of-the-art as it relates to online learning and teaching, with a particular focus on quality measures as they relate to all facets of the online college experience.
  • Oversee enhancement of the online student learning experience by leading new exploration, onboarding and support for existing E-Learning tools and apps.

  • Worked with the across divisions to set goals with instructors, review online courses/design, Quality Matters, SUNY, and OSCQR standards through a customer service approach for student learning/engagement in their programs.
  • Collaboration with Deans to monitor each instructor's progress in revisions, learning, and professional development. Created and collaboration with instructors to prepare 8-week course design (hybrid and 100% online) transition from 16-week courses implement best practices. The objective was to increase and broaden participants' knowledge of understanding of technology & online teaching strategies for 8-week courses.
  • Actively worked as part of a team in the effective instructional design and/or redesign of higher education face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses in order to meet North Lake Campus and Dallas College standards for best practices in distance education.
