USI, an esteemed Insurance Brokerage Organization catering to numerous clients, operates its application utilizing Power Builder as the front end and Informix as the underlying Database. Their current imperative is to modernize their infrastructure by migrating the Database to SQL Server 2005 and transitioning all 4GL components to C# classes, Stored Procedures, and RDLC reporting components. This monumental task entails thorough analysis and meticulous creation and testing of numerous Stored Procedures, alongside the development of C# classes to facilitate their execution. Additionally, the project mandates the creation of RDLC components for comprehensive reporting capabilities.
The existing application architecture comprises Power Builder as the front end interfacing with a SQL database. Each object within the database is meticulously structured, and the user interface encompasses a login page leading to a MDI form, allowing users to seamlessly interact with the system. Notably, all components are uniquely identified and automated within the project framework.
