  • As a supervisor of a smaller shop I was challenged because it required me to have more hands on, and to be resourceful. We did not have the resources on hand such as Engineering, HSE representatives, Quality, etc. My daily tasks included but were not limited to Production flow, scheduling manpower and work. Use of SAP business system, opening work orders, closing work orders, shipping orders, weekly and monthly inventory. Dealing directly with our customers, vendors, operators, and management. I held daily meetings with maintenance, shop coordinators, administrators, and plant manager. As the supervisor I took care of most of the discipline, rewarding, hiring, terminating, and evaluations. I continued to use the same metrics Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost to build upon and improve this facility. Though my term with Baker Hughes was very short because of family emergency I believe I learned many new skills, and know that given the right opportunity I will succeed in building a career.
