Summary

Most recently, I've been a 24/7 caregiver to my disabled husband who I have had to advocate for, however recently my circumstances have changed. I'm excited about getting a job and being able to have more social interactions. I have a very outgoing, positive personality and a passion for working with people. I genuinely love customer service and interacting with people. I have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. I have had many different jobs so far in my lifetime. From working in a call center where I made cold call sales and in the customer care department handling complaints, I worked my way up at a convenience store from a cashier to acting manager when I'd fill in for the manager and run the store including hiring while she was gone, I bartended and ran the bowling alley at club 10, I worked at the Eau Claire Academy with troubled kids, to a correctional officer for the Sheriff's Department where it was my job to keep the inmates and the public safe. In all of my jobs I interacted with the public in very different but meaningful ways, and I enjoyed them all. I'm self motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and a hard worker. Authorized to work in the US for any employer

Work History

  • I ran my own in-home child care. playtime, nap time, mealtime, learning time and pick up time.

Cashier/Customer Service

Bauer Built Handy Mart
06.1991 - 04.2007
  • I was a cashier for the company for years from high school through college. Then afterwards I worked for the company off and on at various locations filling in when they were short staff or the manager went to training. I opened and closed the store, knew how to do all of the paperwork daily and end of month, ordering, and inventory that needed to be done. When the manager went on vacation, I acted as manager. I did all of the scheduling, I oversaw all of the employees, I kept them motivated, I made sure that they were up selling all of the products, and achieving all of our sales goals. I would also do all of the hiring and training while she was gone.

Bartender/Server

Club 10
01.2003 - 11.2004
  • Bartending and servicing the bowling alley and serving drinks and food to the bowling alley, bar and restaurant. Stocking coolers, counting the till, cleaning the bar and bowling lanes, and keeping track of the inventory

Correctional Officer

Eau claire county sheriffs Department
06.1998 - 12.2002
  • As a correctional officer my job was the safety of inmates and the public. To process the inmates we enter all of their personal information in the computer, get a full set of fingerprints, change over their clothing, and show them to their cell block. While working at the booking desk, you’re entering information into the computers, answering a multiline phone system, along with other clerical work. It typically is very fast paced. We serve meals, pass meds, supervise recreational time, write lots of reports, and write a lot of log entries.

Lead residential treatment worker

Eau Claire Academy
05.1994 - 06.1998
  • I worked with troubled youth in various capacities. Mostly on an all male adolescent gang unit that I oversaw the staff as well. I would plan activities in the community and take the kids out for the day. I would plan and lead group discussions about different behaviors, emotional regulation, different disorders or relevant topics like that. We helped follow individual treatment plans provided for them by their therapist. We made sure that they worked on their goals set for them by their therapist. If one of the kids wanted to spend time with us one on one, we would try to make time for that or if they wanted to talk to us about something specific. We always made sure that we were being the best role models that we could be for them . We gave them their medication and provided them safety.
