Determined probable cause of fires and collect and preserve evidence. District patrols to enforce campfire restrictions, forest stay limits and other applicable regulations. Issued verbal warnings or written warnings to ensure compliance. Supported wildland fire suppression and prescribed fire activities.
  • Helitack (April 2016 - January 2022): Member of a highly mobile aerial delivered firefighting squad that utilizes agency contracted helicopters to rapidly attack wildfires in varied terrain and fuels. Worked in adverse conditions located in remote wilderness areas, desert regions, and urban interface locations. Worked in support of suppression operations at temporary bases located throughout the nation.
  • Timber Sale Prep (May 2015 - November 2015): Selected and marked individual trees for harvest using well defined marking guidelines, silvicultural prescriptions, and specific instruction. Designated sale area and cutting unit boundaries on the ground.
