• Fuels Technician (September 2022 – May 2025): Served on prescribed fire and fuels reduction projects. Technically administered routine aspects of the prescribed fire/fuels plan, ensuring that preparation, ignition, holding, mop-up, and rehabilitation are completed to the standards specified. Field reconnaissance of prescribed fire and fuels treatment units, summarizes field findings and make recommendations on appropriate prescriptive criteria for meeting program objectives. Thinning unit layout and implementation. Cut trees in accordance with silvicultural specifications. Supported wildland fire suppression activities. Data collection and entry of fuel moisture samples into Excel to track fire severity index.
• Prevention (February 2022 - September 2022): Provided continuing fire prevention information and education training to internal/external customers and partners. Determined probable cause of fires and collect and preserve evidence. District patrols to enforce campfire restrictions, forest stay limits and other applicable regulations. Issued verbal warnings or written warnings to ensure compliance. Supported wildland fire suppression and prescribed fire activities.
• Helitack (April 2016 - January 2022): Member of a highly mobile aerial delivered firefighting squad that utilizes agency contracted helicopters to rapidly attack wildfires in varied terrain and fuels. Worked in adverse conditions located in remote wilderness areas, desert regions, and urban interface locations. Worked in support of suppression operations at temporary bases located throughout the nation.
• Timber Sale Prep (May 2015 - November 2015): Selected and marked individual trees for harvest using well defined marking guidelines, silvicultural prescriptions, and specific instruction. Designated sale area and cutting unit boundaries on the ground.
• Engine Module (May 2013 - October 2014): Served as a skilled crewmember on an engine. Performed fire line activities such as line construction, hose layout, operations of pumps and accessories, lopping and scattering of fuels using hand tools/chainsaws and holding, patrolling, monitoring, and mop-up operations. Moved dirt, chop brush, and small trees to construct a fire line.
• Survey Technician (September - December 2012): Conducted GPS mapping using Trimble R8 GNSS surveying systems of National Forest boundaries and survey markers. Marked National Forest boundary lines with Carsonite posts.

Assisted with a study on wolverine responses to winter recreation activities.

• Distributed and collected GPS units to backcountry recreationists at local
  backcountry access points at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Grand Teton
  National Park and on the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
