I began my career as an RN in 1999 on a medical surgical unit as a staff nurse at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler, TX. I transitioned to the night shift charge nurse of the forty-nine bed unit. After approximately a year of medical surgical nursing, I changed to home health nursing for four years with Jordan Health Services. After relocating to another city, I accepted an a position as charge nurse on a medical surgical unit at Navarro Regional Hospital. Two years later, I transferred to the ICU in the same facility where I worked for twelve years. I was full-time in the ICU for approximately ten years and PRN for 2 years. As a PRN nurse in the ICU, I often floated to the medical surgical and postpartum. During the time I was PRN, I also accepted a PRN position for a tissue and eye donation agency where I am currently employed. I have been full time with the agency for roughly seven years.
