I am currently PRN at Digestive Healthcare of Georgia. I work approximately 4 days a month. I work with patients getting Colonoscopies or Upper Endoscopies. We prep the patients and recover them.
I am currently employed in the Admit and Recovery Unit/ Cardiac Catheterization Lab/ ElectrophysiologyStudy Lab. I admit and recover the patients . As Registered Nurses we consent the patient, start Iv's , draw blood work , medication reconcilliation, head to toe assessment , ekg's, prep the access site and send the patient for their procedure. We also recover the patients from Cardiac Catheterizations, (with or without stents) Sometimes the physician will go radial approach or femoral site access approach. I also recover Permanent Pacemaker, Internal Cardiac Defibrilator Atrial Fibrialtion, Supraventricular Tachycardia ablation patients. The patients usually recover for 2-4 hours from these procedures. We also send patients who are in need of Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts to outside facilities,
I worked for Pulse Travel Nursing. I signed up for a 13 week contract for their float pool. They asked to extend me a extra 3 weeks. I did 16 weeks of float pool. My assignments could be from a Orthopedic floor, Progressive Care Unit floor, & Pre- op .
I worked on a Progressive Care Unit . I worked here while our house sold. It sold in October of 2018. We than moved to Ellijay, Georgia.
I worked here for approxiametly 3 years . I was PRN in their float pool. I worked 2 days a week on their Progressive Care unit.
I did my preceptorship as a Graduate Nurse with Orlando Regional Medical Center. I started on a Progressive Care Unit 7a- 7P . I also did charge on this unit for a couple of years. I than transferred to a 24 hour observation unit for a couple of years. I than went to their Interim Pool RN Position for my final 8 years with Orlando Health. I did contacts (still employed by the hospital ) I worked in Pre-op, PACU , 24 Hour observation . I ended up doing a contract in Pre & Post Cardiac Catheterization unit. I loved it and finished my career with what became Orlando Health for the next 8 years.
