Quality Co-Ordinator for Internal Medicine

Worked collaboratively with Providers to close important quality gaps for patients. I worked with Banner Health, Equality Health, UHC/Aetna, Az Priority Care & Az Complete Care.

Accessed above entities systems to retrieve missing gaps that need to be addressed on patient visit. Downloaded various gap forms, edited them & provided to Providers to complete & return.

Once returned I entered that needed information to close the quality gaps.

Examples of gaps to be closed: Mammograms, Colonoscopy, Cologuard, A1C, BP, Statins & diabetic eye exams.

Quality Gaps were an incentivized program from the Health Plans.

Entered gap information on next patient visit to be sure gap addressed.

Other responsibilities were to handle mail, open & distribute to Providers. Corrected returned mail & edited in chart for correction to resend. Posted patient checks & credit card payments. Ran journal & journal summary sheets for confirmation of monies received. Prepared bank deposit for manager.

Scanned all Insurance checks, efts, eobs, & insurance credit card payments to our billing company for processing.

Monthly review all scheduled Physical Exams & Well Exams to ensure patient due & eligible for that exam. This process insured less denials for non covered services.

Scheduled all Pharma Reps In Office Lunchs.
