- Provide customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and account information while using HIPAA standards.
- Maintain an open line of communication with in-house billing
- Process payments from patients and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Conduct follow-up calls with patients to ensure that accounts are up to date and properly documented.
- Research discrepancies in patient accounts to determine appropriate resolution.
- Assist in resolving patient complaints related to account balances, insurance coverage, and payment plans.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of patient accounts and insurance payments to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Interact with other departments within the organization such as finance, accounting, IT, and Human Resources when necessary.
- Currently work with CGM system for clinic, HST pathways for surgery center, RMEX, EHR, E-Bridge, I am familiar with Nextgen, AS400, and HMS. Waystar and NMI Gateway payment portals.
