Work History

Radiologic Technologist

Optum
04.2014 - Current

I currently work in an Urgent care setting performing duties as a radiologic technologist and clinical duties of a medical assistant, and I have cross training as a Front Office Assistant. My current responsibilities include obtaining quality x-rays while practicing ALARA utilizing Fugi DR plate equipment, distributing the x-rays to onsite medical providers and remote radiologist, obtaining, documenting, and recording Radiologists interpretations, and providing feedback to the onsite clinicians. I also perform patient intake, triage, & assessment. I carry out all necessary point of care testing, rapid testing, lab tests, venipuncture, EKG, medication administration both oral & injections, general patient care and consideration, chart documentation using Athena, and assistance for medical providers during procedures. The highlight of my job includes the patient interaction, connection and experiences with people who are seeking medical care and comfort.

Radiologic Technologist

Jefferson Hospital
10.2013 - 10.2016

In a Hospital setting i was responsible for capturing images using mobile & C-ARM equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, and bedside. I reviewed physicians' orders to determine medical imaging needs and operated radiologic equipment to capture, develop, and produce diagnostic images in the routine imaging department including Fluoroscopy and IVP studies. I excelled in my patient interaction and took careful consideration explaining imaging procedures to patients, offering comfort and assistance. I made my attention to detail a priority working in a fast paced inpatient care environment, and this is where i learned the importance of thorough documentation and patient assessment.
