Awarded Grants in the areas of Language, Literacy, and AAC

I wrote grants for a student to receive an AAC device due to his unintelligibility due to a cleft-palate. He was having difficulty making progress in his verbal ability and was frustrated with not being able to communicate effectively at home and at school. He was able to learn how to navigate the device to enhance his communication needs. The following year, I applied and received a program to improve students literacy skills with a computer program that concentrated on comprehension and vocabulary skills for students who were falling behind their peers.
