I am an intensive in home specialist, I work with at risk youth and families. We strive to keep children in the home. I complete admissions, assessments, create treatment plans, provide psychoeducation around skill building and interventions for the youth and families. We are a six month service, seeing the youth and families three times a week for an hour a session.

Supervisor of the Behavior Health Technicians. Admissions, discharges, helping take care of clients needs. Making decisions on my shift that would be in the best interest of the clients according to our policy. Pick ups, drop of clients.

• Advance the growth and wellness of youth inmates by closely managing housing units, implementing safety measures, providing counseling services, and supervising their leisure time. Integral in securing the facility including securing windows, gates, doors, and common areas, as well as conducting searches, removing contraband, and resolving arising disputes among inmates. Maintain pristine records, including daily logs, and head counts throughout the unit.
• Encourage high performances while supervising quality of work; establish high standards and expectations.
• Comply with requirements to utilize handcuffs and physical force, as needed; deploy de-escalation techniques.
• Generated reports on rule violations, rule-breaking, and non-compliance; lead thorough crime investigations.
• Mitigate escape attempts while transporting inmates to external locations; integral in re-capture missions.
• Provide learning opportunities and educational solutions including self-help group and reading materials.

• Positioned inmates to rehabilitate poor behavior and habits through in-depth counseling, accountability, encouragement, and support. Coordinated the proper services for incoming youth by leading assessments and intake procedures, determining their greatest needs. Maintained a controlled environment and assisted in assigning housing. Offered consistent supervision during meals, exercise, and leisure time. Implemented strict behavioral expectations.

• Encouraged parent and family involvement; worked with interdisciplinary staff on discharge planning.
