Built deep patient and family relationships while providing in-home care for hospice patients. Collaborated with hospice physician, patient, and patient's family/care-givers to create a plan of care with patient's comfort in mind. Gained a deep understanding of end-of-life care that encompasses physical, social and spiritual needs. Advocated for patients who needed assistance with home handicap access. Worked closely with volunteer services to create special, intimate, end of life experiences for patients. Served on various committees that focused on improving patient care and increasing employee job satisfaction.

Worked as a staff nurse caring for long-term care patients. Facilitated patient admissions and discharges. Transitioned into a position in employee education. Worked closely with facility administrator to develop processes and procedures, then implement them with nursing staff. Managed employee skill check-offs. Created and implemented monthly staff education.

Provided care to long-term residents and rehabilitation patients. Facilitated patient admissions and discharges. During Covid, arranged for patient and family visitation that had to be supervised due to state and local laws. Created and maintained a wildly successful social media campaign which grew a world-wide following. The social media campaign allowed patients and family members to "see" each other when person to person visits were not allowed. The campaign's dual purpose was also to educate the public and influence current stigmas associated with long term care facilities.
