  • Designed, developed, and implemented a microservice for diagnosis and analytics over advertisement quality. All the Dynamic Ads (3rd party and Amazon in-house inventory) in Live Events on Prime Video are targeted here, ensuring the highest streaming quality of ads for 22 million Prime Video customers. The service performs asynchronous computation of audio and video quality specifications on ads manifests in real time.
  • Developed an algorithm for providing fallback strategy streams for Prime Video live event manifests to ensure that 100% of customer sessions are shown with dynamic ads for Prime Video users, up from the previous 73%. The solution manages multiple Amazon CloudFront session URLs, with failovers safeguarding against downstream unavailability. This aided planned infrastructure scaling for global expansion for 10 AWS regions, reduced scaling costs for 22 million customers, and saved approximately 2.5 million USD per month.
  • Successfully led the end-to-end automation program for onboarding and production readiness for live events for dynamic ads insertion. Designed, developed, and implemented multiple microservices to show all live events with 100% dynamic ads insertion, generating revenue of $40 million USD per month.
  • It also reduced 12 FTE resource efforts and enabled onboarding for all Advertising Partners to choose Amazon Prime Video, increasing sales by 2x.
  • Developed and designed a Mock Random Delay Server for testing Tier 1 services in Data Plane for events with 21 Million concurrent streams
  • The Native AWS Service was developed using Cellular Architecture which helped in both horizontal and vertical scaling of the underlying ECS Fargate Infrastructure
  • The burst concurrent stream requests for Ads have a latency cut off and translates to 500k TPS
  • The service is designed to handle 20 mock servers in the org
  • Used Route Table, DNS domain delegations over Cellular Architecture and In-memory File Storage for mocked responses, etc
  • Lead the Operation Excellence efforts for the team, drove decisions on exhaustive trade-offs for recurring problems for the team and Corrective Action Items to increase robustness
