I am a highly self motivated individual with a background in multiple different fields. From a mechanic, to equipment operator, to highway maintenance supervisor. Along with my work history, I am also involved with our local community. I have helped coach youth wrestling for five years. I have been on the Bassett Volunteer fire department for the last seven years. Any time there is a opportunity to involve our youth in different activities I always try to help guide/teach/mentor them to the best of my ability. I am always looking to learn new things and am always willing to help others with the knowledge I have acquired over the years.
: Work with District Mechanic, Maintenance superintendent and Maintenance supervisor to prioritize and schedule repair's to District equipment.
: I worked in lucity to make sure work order's were being properly filled out.
: I coded and filed invoices. In this process I developed a new system to save all of out invoices electronically instead of just putting them in a File Cabinet. This streamlined our filing system and made it easier to go back and find ticket's.
: Assign work to other mechanic's in accordance to priority level and mechanic's work abilities.
: Look up and order part for repairing equipment and parts to have on hand.
: Diagnose and repair Heavy duty, Light duty ,Truck's Pickups and construction equipment. Along with Helping other mechanic's trouble shoot and repair equipment.
: Program and Calibrate sander and spreader system to make sure that they were working correctly and not putting out to much product to keep cost's of material's down.
: Call and schedule Warranty work with dealership's.
: Drive truck's and operate heavy Machinery to test and diagnose issue's
: Help Maintenance with armor coating, overlaying, flagging, snow removal.
: I was incharge of making sure the shop stayed clean and organized. Along with this I also looked out for the safe working practices.
: As Lead Mechanic I was also highly involved in the implementation of making sure all trucks were accurately calibrated. I oversaw the installation of all of the P25 Radio's in District 8. I was part of a Lucity team to try and help stream line our P.M's. I was involved in quality control when NDOT implemented the MDC/AVL system's in our trucks.
Test and diagnose equipment problems. Perform major engine overhaul. Overhaul transmissions. Diagnose rear end and hydraulic problems and repair. Perform metal fabrication and major metal repairs. Schedule repairs. Perform minor and major repair on all department equipment. May need to perform repair work in field. Take bids and order parts accordingly. Reconcile and code purchase orders accordingly. Keep records in EAMS/LUCITY and adjust accordingly. Place orders and adjust time sheets in C1. Work with Microsoft word and excel program to keep records.
Engine work- trouble shooting , diagnostics , complete overhaul's, Transmission work. rebuild Eaton fuller transmissions. Eaton auto-shift diagnostics and repairing the found problem, brake's, wheel seals, a/c repair.
