As you can see from my resume, I have been active in volunteering and participating in extracurricular activities during my middle school years. As a middle schooler, I have done what I can in my neighborhood to have jobs. I will be 15 years old this summer, and look forward to be given the opportunity to have a job at a real place of business.
As an 8th grade WEB Leader at Eagleview Middle School, one of my jobs this school year is to tutor 6th graders.
I check in with their teachers. Teachers will assign tasks to me to help their students with. For example, I have been tutoring a new Chinese student with his English vocabulary. I have also helped various students with math.
I have done both cat and dog sitting for neighbors. This included playing with the pets, feeding them, walking them (dogs), and making sure to lock up after leaving the homes.
In the fall of 2022, I started my own lawn service business. I charge $10/hour. I have been contacted by multiple neighbors to complete yard work. This includes: lawn mowing, raking leaves, pulling weeds, picking up sticks, moving rocks, etc. In the winter, I have also been paid for shoveling snow.
I have volunteered with my Pulpit Rock Church Prism youth group at various sites: Life Network Thrift Store, Hope & Home Foster Agency, and Humblewood Woodworking.
With Eagleview Middle School's National Junior Honor Society, I have volunteered at Foothills Elementary School's STEM Night.
With my family, I have volunteered at the Salvation Army's kitchen to serve meals.
