While working at Newmont/Nevada Gold Mines for the second time I got back into the production side of operations. I ran muckers and stope drills before transitioning into a straight day stope loading position. I did this for a year before deciding to learn about the autonomous mucking program, here I learned about communications networks, from installation and troubleshooting. I ran the autonomous muckers and worked on the network until the end of my time at Nevada Gold Mines.

While working at Goldstrike, I became proficient at ground support and face rounds. I started out mucking headings and remoting stopes then progressed to running Atlas Copco bolters and a Tamrock jumbo. My time at Barrick was only cut short because I missed the culture at Newmont, so I returned.

• While working underground my responsibilities included learning and working within the company’s safety regulations and guidelines, supplying headings, driving haul/water trucks, running support equipment, installing and maintaining utilities, mucking headings, remote mucking, long hole drilling, stope drilling, and stope blasting.

• While I worked on the surface my responsibilities included following company safety regulations and guidelines, supplying the bench drills, driving haul trucks/water trucks, drilling out the benches, training new employees and also working in the mill/process department when overtime was available
