  • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Mass Spectrometry Leak Testing (MSLT)
  • Bubble Leak Testing (BLT)
  • Previously Certified AWS Certified Weld Inspection #20020031 (API 1104)
  • Subject Matter Expert in ATR Nuclear Fuel Inspection, Manufacturing and oversight. Prior to February 2019, for a period of 20 months, I was entirely responsible for ATR, MIT, MURR and Belgium Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Oversight and Release. During this period, I trained a recently hired Quality Engineer for oversight duties at the Fuel Manufacturer. In addition, I was responsible for Nuclear Fuel Packaging and Inspection prior to shipping Nuclear Fuel to designated reactors. 49 CFR Packaging requirements, Type A and Type B packaging for shipment of Nuclear Fuel and Nuclear Isotopes, meeting "In-Commerce" requirements, including Inspection methods VT and Helium MSLT testing.
  • Work Order reviews and work control requirements prior to release of work for NDE personnel. Assist Quality Engineering in Detailed Operating Procedure (DOP) and Work Order direction, including all necessary and relevant code requirements.
  • Because of my prior manufacturing experience (Machinist, Procurement, work direction/workflow) in a manufacturing environment, I performed Precision Dimensional Inspection. This included Coordinate Measuring Machine operation and Programming, FARO Arm/FARO Laser Tracker Operation, trained and qualified to ASME Y14.5, 2009 and 2014 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • I was previously certified in Precision Dimensional Inspection and performed many high-consequence dimensional evolutions involving critical reactor components.
  • I also taught System Engineers, Design Engineers and others GD&T concepts and principles for design and drawing inputs. I was responsible for maintenance and operation and Dimensional Measurement Lab, including calibration of instruments and understanding of instruments and their respective uses and functions.
  • Trained in Ultra-Sonic Testing (UT). Assisted UT examiners in layout, calibration and performance of UT evaluations. Manufactured UT calibration standards/flaws were often measured by me, to verify flaws and locations. Appropriate Level 3 personnel would provide work direction and track calibration of all calibration standards. I did not seek certification in Ultra Sonic Testing.
  • Issues Management/Nonconformance reporting is/was well-established and thoroughly practiced. Non-conformances are thoroughly documented, including specific traits, drawing requirements, code/standard requirements, appropriate reviews and work direction for resolution, including material segregation and appropriate disposal of rejected items.
  • Assisted management with personnel training and qualification requirements for all examiners and others, to meet NQA-1 requirements. Quality Engineering and Inspection personnel training and certification are crucial and required to meet operational criteria of nuclear facilities.
