• Conduct in-home patient care and wellness routines
• Transport patient to/from medical appointments
• Administer prescribed medication to patient
• Diffuse extreme behavioral changes and work in high-stress situations
• Communicate patient's behavioral and medical assessment to staff and family
• Perform personal care routines for patient (bathing, feeding, household cleaning, clothing changes, etc)

*This patient is an adult female (my sister) with severe mental and physical disabilities including but not limited to Autism and a seizure disorder. Her moods rapidly switch and she is prone to semi-violent outbursts that have caused minor injury to multiple staff. Shifts last 12 to 24 hours (or more depending on staffing) and her specific needs have instilled patience, understanding and respect for individuals in need of medical assistance.
